Dr. Zarrinfar has over 20 years of experience and is very comfortable working with all members of your family of any age. He not only has extensive experience working with children, but his seven years of practice at Mercy Hospital give him the knowledge to work with medically compromised patients.
We don’t take emergencies lightly; we always have open spots in our schedule to see emergency patients the same day. We are only a phone call away.

Dr. Allen A. Zarrinfar
Dr. Zarrinfar earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California at San Diego in 1993, and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Maryland at Baltimore in 1997. After graduating from dental school, he immediately went on to complete a one year Advanced General Practice Residency at Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, where he gained valuable clinical skill in Oral Surgery, General Medicine and Pediatric Dentistry. Following the completion of his residency program in 1998, he was invited to join Mercy Medical Center as an attending dentist, where he practiced until 2005.
After moving to Northern Virginia in 2005, Dr. Zarrinfar established his private practice in Purcellville, Virginia, where he is currently practicing.
He believes continuing education is the key to providing the best quality dental care. Since his graduation, he has attended over 950 hours of continuing education in all aspects of dentistry and has been awarded fellowship status in the International College of Oral Implantology. He is currently working towards achieving fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Zarrinfar also held a part-time faculty position as a clinical instructor at the University of Maryland at Baltimore from 1999-2003, in the departments of restorative dentistry and oral medicine.
With a commitment to community services, he volunteered to travel to Indian Reservations in Arizona to help make dentures for many Native-Americans. He also volunteers at Loudoun Community Dental Clinic to provide free dental services to low income and underprivileged families.
Dr. Zarrinfar has been very active in several dental organizations. He has served as the President of the Virginia Academy of General Dentistry in 2009 and is currently serving as the chairperson on the Council of Legislation. He also served as a delegate for the Virginia Dental Association and the Virginia Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Zarrinfar is an active member of the following organizations: ADA, AGD, ICOI, and AADC.
He is married to Dr. Kianoush Tari, and they are blessed with two healthy and active boys Milad and Emonn.
Dr. Wajiha Amer
Dr. Amer was born and raised in Pakistan and is the daughter of a marine engineer and a biochemist.
She earned her Bachelor’s in Dental Surgery in 2009 with several distinctions and ranked in the top three of her graduating class, after which she worked in private practice for four years in Lahore, Pakistan.
In 2014, she decided to further her education by attending Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree (DMD) with High Honors in 2016.
She fell in love with Boston, but decided to make Northern Virginia her home and is currently working as an associate dentist. She believes in furthering her education by taking continuing education courses and is a member of the American Dental Association, Virginia Dental Association and Northern Virginia Dental Association. She also volunteers at the Northern Virginia Dental Clinic.
In her spare time, Dr. Amer likes to travel and spend time with her husband.
Megan – Registered Dental Hygienist
Megan started working in the dental field in 2001 as a clinical assistant. She furthered her education in Dental Hygiene and graduated in 2008 from Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan. Megan then moved from Michigan in 2008 to Virginia, where she then joined Dr. Zarrinfar. Megan enjoys educating patients in how to maintain a healthy smile and how dental health relates to overall health. She is passionate about about dental hygiene and strives to provide her patients with the best care and service.
Megan currently lives in Charles Town, WV with her husband, daughter, and two dogs. She enjoys the outdoors and traveling.
Jennifer- Practice Manager
Jennifer is the Practice Manager for Dr. Zarrinfar. She has had the pleasure of working with Dr. Zarrinfar since May of 2006. Jennifer started out as a clinical assistant and was gradually promoted to managerial duties. She enjoys working with our patients and gaining knowledge in the dental field. She still enjoys the clinical aspect of dentistry, so whenever it’s needed, she helps as an assistant. In her spare time, she enjoys shopping and spending time with her family.
Andrea – Financial Coordinator
Andrea was born and raised in Charles Town, WV. Andrea joined Dr. Zarrinfar’s team in September of 2010. She enjoys working as a Financial Coordinator, scheduling patients, and taking care of their questions. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Brian and their three children.
Aurora – Clinical Assistant
Aurora has been a part of Dr. Zarrinfar’s practice for over a year. She started at the practice as a receptionist and became a dental assistant shortly after. She loves being in the dental field and enjoys assisting Dr. Zarrinfar in procedures, helping patients, and answering any questions they may have. Aurora loves learning something new every day. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her daughter.
Janell – Clinical Assistant
Janell is one of the clinical assistants in this office. She has previous experience as an orthodontic assistant. Janell has an Associate of Applied Science degree in Teacher Education. She loves everything that Dr. Zarrinfar and the team has taught her. What she enjoys most about her job is the day to day interactions with all of her patients and making them feel better regardless of why they are visiting our office. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her son and her family.
Heather – Clinical Assistant
Heather has been working as a clinical assistant with Dr. Zarrinfar since 2010. She enjoys interacting with all of our patients, and she is so thankful for everything Dr. Zarrinfar has taught her. It gives her great pleasure to belong to such a great dental practice. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, fox hunting with her horses, and all other outdoor activities.
Frances – Patient Care Coordinator
Frances is a Patient Care Coordinator for Dr. Zarrinfar. Frances earned her Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Clayton State University in Morrow, GA in 2008. She has a passion for knowledge that drives her to learn more in both the optical and dental fields. Frances really enjoys getting to know her patients and is fascinated with everything she is learning about the dental field.
Frances moved to Charles Town, WV from Griffin, GA in 2015. She now resides with her newlywed husband and their two bearded dragons. In her spare time, she enjoys sewing, quilting, and reading a good book.
